We handle your data with care. Below you can read which data we process, why, how long we keep it and what your rights are.

Who we are

TRE Travel & Leisure B.V., trading as The Rotterdam Experience, Van der Hoevenplein 47, 3072 MK Rotterdam, the Netherlands, Chamber of Commerce (KvK) 42113507, establishment number 000066171210, e-mail info@therotterdamexperience.com. This is our registered and postal address; our experiences depart from Oude Haven and the Experience Hub at Wijnhaven 63.

What data we process

Enquiry form and e-mail: name, e-mail address, phone number, preferred date, group size and anything else you write to us (such as dietary requirements). We use this only to answer your enquiry and prepare a proposal.

Online bookings: tickets and boat rental are booked through our booking system (Let’s Book). The data you enter there is processed by Let’s Book under its own privacy notice; we receive the booking details needed to carry out your reservation.

WhatsApp: if you contact us via WhatsApp, WhatsApp (Meta) processes your phone number and messages under its own terms. We use the conversation only to answer your question.

Website visits: this website uses no tracking or marketing cookies. Our hosting provider processes technical data (such as IP address and browser type) in server logs to keep the site secure and available.

Why and on what legal basis

We process your data to perform a contract with you or to prepare one at your request (enquiries, reservations, invoices), to comply with legal obligations (such as retention rules for our accounts) and on the basis of our legitimate interest in keeping the website secure and answering your questions.

How long we keep data

Enquiries that do not lead to a booking are kept for a maximum of twelve months. Booking and invoice data are kept for seven years under Dutch tax retention rules. Server logs are deleted automatically after a short period.

Who we share data with

Only with parties needed to deliver our services: our booking system (Let’s Book), our hosting and e-mail provider and, for packages with catering, the caterer (only what is necessary, such as numbers and dietary requirements). We do not sell your data or share it for third-party marketing.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct and delete your data, to restrict processing, to data portability and to object. Send your request to info@therotterdamexperience.com; we respond within one month. You may also lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).

Transition period

The Rotterdam Experience is the new brand for the activities of ervaarrotterdam.nl. During the transition, bookings and enquiries are processed by the same company with the same care; where this website refers you to the ervaarrotterdam.nl booking system, the ervaarrotterdam.nl privacy notice applies there. Once everything has moved over, we will update this notice.

Security and changes

We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data. This notice may be updated; the current version is always on this page. Last updated: September 2026.
